Taunton Deane has established a footpath which opens onto the school main access and has led to serious concerns about Health and Safety for our students at the busy times of first thing in the morning and at the close of school.  Until a safe crossing over Long Run Lane onto the school premises has been established, please will parents not drive down the school drive to drop off their children as this could endanger cyclists and pedestrians.  Please use the residential roads and the pedestrian crossing on the Wellington Road when bringing children to school.

Year 11 students at The Castle School have gained outstanding results which represent the best ever achieved at the school by a significant margin.

 Although the school has had high quality results over many years, the figure of 91% of students gaining five or more passes at grades A*-C is 7% above the previous best value.

 Similarly, 76% of students achieving five or more passes at grades A*-C including English and Mathematics is a record at the school.

 Several students have also gained high level success in AS level  examinations.
