Art involves exploring ideas, questioning, research and experimentation, refining skills, and engaging with an audience. We focus on learning about art, and learning by making art. Students work in a wide range of media including drawing and painting, sculpture, printmaking, photography and digital art. We aim to help students to work independently and to see the relevance of the skills they are developing for their lives beyond school.
Our students can select between GCSE Fine Art and GCSE Photography, both AQA courses.
