Taking a Business Studies course is not an activity simply confined to the classroom. We organise trips which are typified by our visit to Brean Leisure Park to study the workplace and how people work.
Coursework involves studying both economic and environmental issues relating to business.
One of the coursework units focuses specifically on the workplace and includes such topics as work related theories and a conceptual approach to teaching, as well as many entrepreneurial activities.
We have forged a useful link with the HSBC Bank who have become involved with year 10 Business Plans Competition, judging and awarding prizes.
We also have developed for our Gifted and Talented cohort a Year 10 Enterprise master class.
We judge (the school) to be outstanding because of the excellent ways in which teachers and other staff create such exceptional learning.'
