Performing & Expressive Arts

The Performing and Expressive Arts Faculty consists of four departments:

Art (Fine Art and Photography)- Darryl Simpson and Vanessa Withers
Dance-Michelle Prowle
Drama-Steve Mitchell
Music-Sandra Sutton and Caron Lisett

These tend to run independently for curriculum matters but come together with great strength for combined events such as School Musical Productions, the Arts Showcase, and for Enrichment Days where workshops are run on a carousel basis promoting the arts often led by outside agencies. Very often other departments are brought in to further enhance and to give further breadth of experience eg Public speaking and Textiles are usually represented at the Arts Showcase, an annual event held in July; textiles, dance leaders and drama tech. crew combine for the annual Fashion Show.

The Faculty is diverse and all-embracing and always strives for the highest possible standards in everything it tackles.
