All students study RE for five years. In the upper school students follow a GCSE short course in RE unless they opt for it as a full GCSE course.
The main aim of RE is to enable students to understand the nature of religious beliefs and practices and the importance and influence of these in the lives of believers.
The content of lessons is based on the County Agreed Syllabus for RE and includes the study of Christianity and two other world religions.
In accordance with the 1988 Education Act all parents have the right to withdraw their child from Religious Education.
The school monitors the achievement of each individual very carefully, providing excellent, finely targeted guidance.........
