Our mission is Every Child Achieves, Belongs and Participates enabling a life of choice and opportunity. We feel education should empower our students, giving them the knowledge to make sense of the world and grow into citizens who make a difference.

The Houses are essential in fostering the strong family ethos at The Castle School. We very much believe in the partnership between parents and the school. The House system enables us to work with our families; siblings always go into the same House so we get to know families over time.

We are hugely proud of our school and the achievements of our students, in particular within the Creative Arts and Sports. At The Castle School, we value strong positive relationships and this alongside the history and tradition of The Castle School makes the school such a vibrant and lively place to work.

Rated as Outstanding by Ofsted, we have been for some years now at the top of the performance tables in Somerset and the South West, while also comparing well to schools nationally for academic achievements. You can see our latest exam results on our website.

This must be supported by a curriculum that gives students the power to think for themselves, shaped by what they need to know, understand and fulfil, in order to have happy, successful and prosperous lives.
